Platelet-Rich Plasma
Platelet-Rich Plasma
Platelet-Rich Plasma is the liquid gold in the Aesthetic and Musculaskeletal world. PRP is a blood derivative processed from the client’s own blood. The Platelets are rich in proteins called growth factors. When the Platelets are injected into the tissue, these growth factors and stimulating factors are central to the body’s ability to heal and repair. The immediate release of these proteins also stimulate and encourage the formation of blood clots, which are known to protect wounds.

Faqs
Are the results immediate?
How many treatments?
How long do results last for?
There is ongoing improvement to the treated skin for up to 12 months after each treatment. This is depending on the rate to how the clients collagen grows. It is suggested to have a follow-up treatment at 12 months but PRP will generally heal and renew the skin, taking years off the treated area, allowing the natural aging phase to occur from the renewed archived skin structure.
What are the expectations for PRP?
Increased hydration may be visible at 2-3 weeks and improve gradually over ensuing months with improvement to texture and tone.
Combining modalities can enhance results in some patients.
Advanced wrinkling can not be reversed and a minimal improvement is predictable for people with excessive alcohol and tobacco use.
Improvement in scarring and acne scars but severe / life long scars possibly may not respond.
Improvement in hair thinning, if treated prior to complete hair loss.
What is the PRP treatment add on?
PRP can be added onto your PDO Mono Threads treatment. Driving the results even higher.
