Dermal Filler

Wanting to restore lost volume or shape to your facial profile. Dermal fillers are a soft gel consisting of stabilised, non-animal Hyaluronic Acid. Unfortunately, our Hyaluronic Acid stores are lost over the aging process. Using Dermal Fillers aims to boost your skins supply of Hyaluronic Acid, restore volume, definition and revitalising the bodies need for Hyaluronic Acid to that region.
Results from Dermal Fillers are instant. Although, they may be swollen, red, tender, or bruised. Dermal Filler can feel lumpy for up to 7 days post your treatment. This is the normal process of the filler used at Nude Aesthetics. The filler will start to integrate into the desired tissue and soften over this time. Full effect of your filler settling takes 2-4 weeks, so it is recommended to not retreat that area until 4 weeks post your initial treatment.
Dermal Fillers are a not permanent and are expected to last 6-9 months for the lips, 9-12 months for other dermal areas. We like to give you the minimum life expectancy of your dermal fillers, but some clients can experience longer effects than this, especially if frequently used, remaining hydrated and doing other forms of collagen and elastin stimulation. Remember your body will also start to restore the lost Hyaluronic Acid levels to the treated region itself.

Filler Dissolving

30 Minute Session

If you have unwanted aesthetic effects or complications during the procedure, filler is able to be reversed by dissolving the filler. Filler dissolving requires another Medication called, Hyaluronidase. It is an enzyme injected into the required area to be dissolved and massaged to help break down the bonds which hold the Hyaluronic Acids molecules together in the filler, encouraging the body to reabsorb those molecules in a natural process that it knows how to do on its own.
Each treatment holds risk, dissolving filler can cause temporary discomfort whilst injecting, redness, swelling, bruising and rarely allergic reaction. Often if it is a clients first exposure to Hyaluronidase we wil do a patch test on the inside of the arm to ensure you are not allergic to the product. If you have a history to allergic reaction to wasps or bee stings, you are at an increased risk to having an allergic reaction, as the venom of stinging insects might contain Hyaluronidase and this mechanism may be the source of sensitisation in affected individuals. It is also possible that your dissolving session may need to be repeated. This is due to all fillers being different, they are knit differently, could be built up over time, integrated into tissue very well, or areas in which we can’t see.
